What is Tier 5 Youth Mobility Visa ?

The youth mobility scheme is for young people from participating countries who would like to come and experience life in the UK.

The countries involved in the scheme (at present) are: Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Japan, Taiwan, Monaco, and the Republic Of Korea 

To be eligible for the visa type you must be a national of the countries above and score 50 points in the areas of Nationality, age, English language ability and maintenance funds.

Eligibility in short will involve proof of being a national of the countries above, aged 18 to 30 years inclusive, having the availability of £1800 for your trip and not having used the working holiday maker visa or Tier 5 (youth mobility) previously.

Please note that with the current program you can work unlimited for the full 2 year period (except as a professional sportsperson or set up in business) however the rules remain not allowing dependants to apply with the applicant, having no children at the time of application, and you will remain ineligible to switch off this visa to another UK visa whilst in the UK.
